Sadly we say goodbye to the ladies ‘ favourite volunteer’ Callum. He has been with us over the last four weeks, chatting and talking to the ladies, helping in the kitchen and being a good support to the staff; whilst off on his Christmas break from university. He now returns to his studies but we hope to see him again sometime in the future and we wish him all the very best for his future career. We shall all miss him.

Ashmeade Christmas Carol service - thank you to Alan, and the two gentlemen all from the cliviger ukelele band. It was a Lovely evening singing carols and well known Christmas songs - enjoyed by the ladies , staff, family & friends of Ashmeade.

Following the little visitors from chez nanny we had a visit from the 6 Burnley high school students , who after Christmas are coming weekly as volunteers to do activities and engage with the ladies, this is to help the students gain their silver Duke of Edinburgh award. Thank you to Jon ( deputy head) for helping to facilate our ‘ Teen & Age’ collaboration. The ladies really enjoy meeting and talking to them.
