The yoga philosophy of balance emphasizes achieving equilibrium in various aspects of your physical, mental, and spiritual life.

Through its practices of asana (poses), pranayama (breathing), and meditation, yoga cultivates steadiness, calm, and a centered state to navigate life’s challenges with more grace.

Physical Balance
Centering the Body: Physically, balance is about finding and maintaining your body’s center of gravity over a base of support, which improves coordination and reduces the risk of falls.
Effort and Ease: A key principle is finding a balance between effort and ease (Sthira Sukham Asanam) in physical poses, avoiding too much strain or complete relaxation.

Mental and Emotional Balance
Emotional Steadiness: Yoga helps to achieve emotional steadiness and clarity, enabling you to remain calm and centered during difficult situations.
Mindfulness: The practice encourages observing thoughts and feelings without immediate reaction, fostering emotional release and resilience.

Spiritual and Holistic Balance

Sunday 7th September - Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse 🔴

A Blood Moon, carrying the energetic weight of three full moons, is viewed as a cosmic reset button.
Astrologers often describe it as a moment of reckoning, illuminating truths, revealing hidden patterns, and encouraging individuals to release what no longer serves their journey.

Beyond that, lunar eclipses also urge us to look inward and heal. The moon’s illumination asks us to highlight what we love and move toward it.
Also, we should embrace our spiritual beliefs and implement them into our lives. Since the moon is in Pisces, we must use our intuition to protect our energy from harm and swim to our desires. This isn’t a moment of pause but a chance to advance ourselves and strive to improve situations. No more treading water, this is our call to action.


Sky-watchers across much of the UK can look forward to observing a stunning spectacle tomorrow evening when a total lunar eclipse will turn the full Moon red.
As it passes through Earth’s shadow, it will take on a deep red hue, creating a striking “Blood Moon”.
While the full eclipse starts at 18:30 and lasts until 19:52, people in the UK will only be able to see it when the Moon rises, and that depends on where you are on the map. For your best chance of seeing this amazing Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse try and get somewhere ahead of 18:30 with as clear a view of the horizon as possible so that you can see the Moon as soon as it rises 🌕🌑

What an amazing few 3 Days . I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to see Eddie in Aberdeen this weekend .
My practice was already changing, but being able to understand my body , which I learn through awareness and presence during my practices and and having someone as brilliant as Eddie being able to speak about the importance of breathing techniques and Sangraha and teaching in a way it makes total sense is just enlightening .
My practice and my teaching will no doubt benefit immensely from this amazing immersive weekend . I will be taking what I have learnt and making sure I have a regular practice and bringing it to you in class and I cannot wait, the benefits are amazing. Look out for my workshop coming soon .

Always makes me smile when I see this post and her I am, still teaching Yoga at FX still as passionate about health and well being, discovering new things about myself as I age and the changes to the human body that takes place and how my own practice has had to adapt, the same as you would need to when working with hindrances . My passion is Yoga and Mat Pilates, not cos Pilates is the current ‘trend’ but because I’ve educated myself to get the best out of my body. That includes strength and resistance training with the coaches here.
I love learning about the holistic practices and I have a keen interest in Sound Therapy and Reiki and have basic qualifications in both these areas too which student and Personal
Training clients benefit from also. So here’s to living the best version of yourself . 🥂🧘‍♀️

We sure have a rainy Sunday , I think it’s the sort of day where I’m in no rush to get out of bed. (Especially with my new MnS teddy fleece fitted sheet bedding ) and watching the rain fall from the grey sky on the widow whilst having my coffee ! It’s allowed me to practice awareness, presence and time to meditate .
It’s allowed me a sense of stillness , quiet and inner peace.
Yoga isn’t just about Asana (postures) it’s called a practice because becoming more aware of ourselves and all of our phenomenal life can be seen once resting within awareness, (towards non duality) being aware of our inner self, our thoughts and feeling our outerself, sights we see , sound we hear , our sense of smell , touch etc Being aware of a system of awareness that holds both inner and outer senses.
During my YIN class on Friday Eve questions pertaining towards non duality and the ‘who am I ‘ question began to arise!
It’s a great question and I think it begins with being aware of being aware! 🤔🤣 .

Our Story

Your Yoga Experience is Burnley’s first purpose built Hot Yoga and Pilates Studio offering a range of Yoga classes suitable for all levels of experience from Beginners to Advanced Students.

We provide a comfortable, heated Studio which will allow you to ease into your Yoga Session in a safe and relaxing environment.

What we offer:

Beginners courses and classes ranging from Ashtanga flow, Warm and Hot Hatha Flow classes, Warm Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Hot Yoga Warm Pilates and Pilates for Sports recovery. We also offer 1:1 Yoga sessions, Personal Training Sessions and small group Personal Training sessions to accompany your health and wellbeing programme.
