The installation of a new ’De-escalation room’ and sensory room for one of our new customers is well under way ☺️

The installation in the de-escalation room will include padded walls and seating area, bespoke sound proofing, LED colour changing lighting system and an easy to use lighting controller.

Back in 2016 the team at Opus Pro Audio and Opus Sensory created a unique sensory room from an unused space at Burnley Wood Community Group in partnership with The Calico Group (BWCC).

The room design comprised of many sensory items which were created by our engineers at Opus Sensory including a glitterball chandelier, Simon Says interactive panel, LED star ceiling and much much more.

A Texas father sold his business and poured $51 million into building an amusement park for one beautiful reason, his disabled daughter Morgen who suffers from a rare condition called Tatton-Brown-Rahman syndrome.

Designed with accessibility at its core, the park offers free admission to all guests with special needs.

Since opening, Morgan's Wonderland in San Antonio has welcomed over a million visitors and proudly employs a workforce where one-third of the staff also have special needs. More than just a theme park, it’s a powerful testament to inclusion, love, and what it means to create joy for everyone.

The team at Opus Sensory supply many different types of sensory equipment to our customers, some of them being swings and trampolines.

The reason for this is because a lot happens all at once when we jump, swing, spin, or roll.

Vestibular equipment helps the body sense movement, balance, and spatial orientation by stimulating the vestibular system in the inner ear.

This system provides information about head position and movement relative to gravity, which is crucial for maintaining balance, posture, and coordination. It also influences how the brain processes other sensory information, like visual and tactile input, helping to regulate arousal levels and contribute to overall sensory integration.

The team at Opus Sensory are onsite for the next few days as we carry out the installation of a large number of 65” Vestel interactive screens, sensory rooms and a De-Escalation area 😊

These areas are going to look amazing when they are completed 🤩

8 years ago today the team Opus Sensory celebrated National Learning Disability Week and the grand opening of "The Temple" Integration Sensory Room at Elysium Community Centre in Great Harwood.

As you can see we had the pleasure of Burnley FC in the Community’s very own Bertie Bee road test our latest Sensory Integration room which we designed and installed for GS Social Care at the Elysium Community Centre 😊

We also met some new friends from Lancashire Care, Pendle Support, Future Directions CIC, Hyndburn Homes, Lancashire Care Paediatric Learning disabilities service, Speech & Language and the Learning disabilities and Dementia Teams.

Thursdays are for throw backs... 2025

Recently the team at Opus Pro Audio carried out a PAT at Longshaw Community Junior School in Blackburn.

The work was carried out on behalf of ‘Eric Wright Partnerships Ltd’ and included work on the whole of their lighting system.

We carry out a large amount of annual servicing and PAT site visits every year for our customers. The work covers all of their equipment including lighting systems, PA systems, AV systems and loop systems along with sensory rooms. Some of the services can be carried out on floor level but sometimes we end up over 8m in the air on scaffolding or a cherry picker.

After the service and PAT our customers can be reassured that their equipment is good for another 12 months 😊

We carry out servicing and PAT throughout the North West, so if you're due a service or PAT, we are the local experts to talk to 😊

Today the team at Opus Pro Audio and Opus Sensory began the installation of a sensory room within the 'Rainbows B' ward on behalf of the NHS at Burnley General Hospital.

Last year we installed a new sensory room within the 'Rainbows' ward at Accrington Acorn Centre as well as updating the sensory other room at Burnley General Hospital in the 'Rainbows A' ward.
