Peacefully at Victoria Hospice Kirkcaldy, on Saturday 28th March 2026, Catherine (Kay), aged 89 years, of Burntisland, formerly Aberdour and Dunfermline, beloved wife of the late Duncan, loving mum, granma and nonna. She will be sadly missed. R.I.P.

Reception of remains at St Joseph's R. C. Church, Burntisland on Monday 20th April at 4pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday 21st April at 10.00am to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Private burial thereafter.

We have just been notified that we are finalists in the Funeral Awards 2026 in two separate categories. We pride yourselves on our personal care and attention to detail, helping each and every family that entrust us with the care of their loved ones, along with the other funeral services we provide. It is very humbling that we have been put forward for these awards.
But sadly we will be unable to attend the event.

Thank you to everyone who kindly donated Easter Eggs and money donations to purchase Easter Eggs for our 2026 collection. As you can see when had an amazing amount of Eggs, which was such a tempting sight!! We were able to donate to all the children at Burntisland Nursery, Burntisland PlayGroup and Starley Hall School. Over 150 Eggs Thank you all again for your kindness and support.

Unexpectedly at his home in Kinghorn, on Sunday 15th March 2026, James “Jim”, aged 80 years, loving dad of Carla and the late Chris, devoted grandad of Viki, Page, Courteney, Ellie and Alex, also a dear brother and uncle. He will be sadly missed.

Funeral service at Kirkcaldy Crematorium on Friday 10th April at 11am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Jim may be given at the service for Cancer Research if so desired.

He will be sadly missed

She will be sadly missed.

Funeral service at Rankin Funeral Directors Service Room 239 High Street Burntisland, on Monday 6th April at 10.15am, to which all family and friends are welcome, thereafter to Burntisland Cemetery for 11am. Donations in memory of Jean may be given at the service for the Victoria Hospice if so desired.

Suddenly at his home in Burntisland on Tuesday 10th March 2026, James "Jim" aged 77 years formerly Rosyth, beloved husband of Moira, loving dad of Kevin and father-in-law of Kay, devoted grandad of Jessica and Alexander, also a dear brother and uncle. He will be sadly missed.

Funeral service at Dunfermline Crematorium on Friday 3rd April at 11.30am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Jim may be given at the service for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland if so desired.

Kenny “Ken”

Very peacefully after a short illness at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on Tuesday
17th March 2026, Kenny (Ken) aged 63 years, loving husband of Simon, beloved son of the late Edna and Alan Plews. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family.

Kenny didn’t want a Funeral Service; a private cremation will take place. Any family and friends wishing to say their goodbyes to Kenny, will be more than welcome to visit him as he lies in state (Closed Coffin) at Rankin Funeral Directors, 239 High Street, Burntisland, KY3 9AQ on Saturday 28th March, from 10 till 1.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date and will be announced in due course.
