to hear from you. I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, registered with both the BACP and the BABCP. I work openly and honestly with my clients, providing a safe environment to collaboratively explore difficulties and work towards personal goals. It is my personal aim to help you get to know yourself a bit better, and to help you to develop meaningful coping stratagies that will allow you to deal with life’s stressors, whatever and whenever they might be. As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist I am interested in exploring the way you think as well as the way that you behave, and demonstrating the intrinsic link between the two. A typical Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) session involves breaking down recent life events that have caused you distress. Together we will take a closer look at the way in which your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours have been triggered and work out what is no longer helpful for you. The goal of CBT is to break the cycle that negative thinking creates and work on more adaptive and positive ways of thinking and behaving. Despite a strong presence of CBT I do work in an integrative manner that is flexible to the needs of my clients.
