As with the NHS podiatry department - we also monitor for AF as a Podiatrist- any suspected detection we refer to GP and yes we have found a few Atrial fibrillation and the patients has been dealt with accordingly 👣👣👣👣👣
🩺PODIATRY SUPPORTING EARLIER DETECTION OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION🩺
NHS Fife’s podiatry service is supporting earlier detection of atrial fibrillation by checking patients’ pulses during routine appointments. This has already helped 15 people in Fife receive earlier diagnosis and treatment for heart conditions. When an irregular pulse is identified, patients are referred directly for an ECG at Victoria Hospital, reducing delays and streamlining the pathway to care. More information is available here:

We’re delighted to welcome Sally Baird to our team at Amanda’s Podiatry!

Sally qualified as a podiatrist in 1998 and, after many years working in the NHS, she transitioned into private practice six years ago. As a generalist podiatrist, she continues to offer comprehensive care for all aspects of your foot health.
