St George's day at Magnolia Friends πŸ’š
Walk around Quiz Name that George?

Thanks to Carol & Janet our volunteers who made our morning fun and engaging. πŸ’š
Dementia games and activities, simple jigsaws, card games, balls, dominoes, and word searches, help improve cognitive function, stimulate memory, and provide social interaction. Tailoring games to the individual's abilitiesβ€”using nostalgic, low-stress, and sensory-focused activitiesβ€”is key to boosting alertness and enjoyment.

Magnolia Friends musical 🎼 morning
Music is a powerful, low-cost intervention for dementia, reducing agitation, improving mood, and aiding memory recall by engaging areas of the brain often untouched by the disease. Key approaches include creating personalized playlists from a person’s youth, utilizing music for daily routines, and singing together. It can spark communication and joy, even in advanced stages.
