St Swithin’s Day

It’s said that if it rains on St Swithin’s Day (15 July), it’ll rain for the next 40 days.

That day also happens to be my birthday.

My mum, with her usual dry humour, once said: “Well, it rained that day... and never really stopped.”

Back then, I laughed it off. Now I see it differently.

Life brings its downpours — grief, overwhelm, the days when everything feels heavy. But just like the Tarot, the weather isn’t random. It reflects, it reveals, it clears.

You can’t control the skies, but you can learn to read the signs.

That’s what the Tarot helps with.
Not fortune-telling, but pattern-spotting. Soul-mapping. It shows what’s ready to shift and what still needs your care — whether you’re in a fog or facing a full-on thunderstorm.
