After a truly wonderful Christmas filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness, we step into January feeling grateful and hopeful. The festive spirit shared across our homes has left us with many special memories and we want to keep up the fantastic spirit and joy into January.

January So Far ✨🥰

We have had a lovely start to 2026! There have been no January Blues in our home, from the brilliant Alan at Music in Mind coming to sing for our ladies and gents, to birthdays, to lots of one to one and interactive fun with our WISH Activity Team, the fun hasn’t stopped 🤩

A Wonderful Christmas ✨🎄

Over the festive season we’ve enjoyed Christmas pyjama day in the home, hot chocolates with all the toppings and watching Christmas concerts on the tv - our ladies and gents loved the live orchestra and singing! 🥰

On Christmas Day, WISH Activity Team members, Cara and Steve visited each resident and opened their Christmas presents from the home. Some of the gifts included window bird feeders which we then filled up with seed on Boxing Day and put them on their bedroom windows to enjoy ☺️

What a Festive Friday ✨🎄❤️

Friday last week was a busy day for our ladies and gents! We had students from Burscough Priory Academy come in to hand out Christmas cards to our residents. They were thrilled by this lovely gesture 😍

We also fun playing throw and catch with the balloon and ball to keep our exercise levels up. Our lovely Mary Kath loved this activity ❤️

Christmas Party Time 🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄

Today JLH Productions joined us for some festive entertainment for our residents Christmas Parties on both our Peacock and Red Admiral Units ❤️

Both floors were treated to 45 minutes of merry music from the terrific trio. There was lots of singing along and dancing between our staff and residents. Everybody really enjoyed it and it's put us in the mood for Christmas 🎄🥰

A Week of Festive Fun 🎄🥰

A busy week last week here at Stocks Hall Burscough. On Friday we had Burscough Village Primary School year 6 pupils come to to visit us to sing some christmas songs and did some arts and crafts too! Some of the children gave their wooden tree decorations to our residents as a present - how sweet and selfless 🥹🎄

All the children had Chef Mel's special hot chocolate with cream and a choice of toppings. All left with a small selection box as a gift from the residents and the home ❤️

We also had some much loved Pet therapy with Charlie on Red Admiral unit getting lots of cuddles from Vivian, Barbara and Marie 🐹

⭐️ Bingo Fundraiser Results ⭐️

From everyone at Stocks Hall Burscough, we would like to say a massive thank you to all those who came down and supported our Christmas Bingo event at The Stanley Club… we raised an amazing £1591! 🤩

All money raised goes to our Residents Fund to allow for more enriching activities and fun days out for our deserving ladies and gents ❤️

Well done to the team behind our successful event, it wouldn’t be the same without your hard work and dedication to our residents, so a big thank you to our supporting staff 👏

🎄 CHRISTMAS BINGO - MON 8th DECEMBER🎄

Write it down in your diaries, folks! Stocks Hall Burscough’s annual Christmas Bingo is back on Monday 8th December at The Stanley Club, Burscough 📆❤️

Doors will open at 6:30 and eyes down at 7:45pm til late. All are welcome, including well behaved and quiet children (but please be aware it is a late night!). There will also be a raffle with fabulous prizes on offer too. Coffee, tea and cake will on sale at the interval as usual 🥰

*SEATS CANNOT BE RESERVED - PLEASE COME DOWN EARLY TO SECURE YOUR PLACES (IT'S A FULL HOUSE 😉)

Weekly Round-Up! ❤️

It's been a busy week here at Stocks Hall Burscough. From relaxing sensory sessions with our new sensory lamp, to pet therapy with Charlie the guinea pig, heartwarming doll therapy, and of course a visit from our hairdresser Sharon 💇‍♀️

Also it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have started decorating our home ready for the festive season 🎄🥰

Burscough’s Newest Nail Salon 💅

Last week, our WISH Activity Team turned our lovely orangery into a nail salon for the afternoon! Complete with all the colours you could want and even a snack trolley to keep our ladies happy during their pamper sessions 🥰
