The Impact of Harsh Words Used Towards Children of All Ages ....(Remember ... there is a child that still exists within us all!!)

This image displays a powerful illustration about the impact of harsh and dismissive phrases used towards children, created by the "Parenting Apart Programme".

It highlights the often-ignored connection between harsh words from authority figures resulting in anxiety, low self worth and the value they go on to hold as a belief about themselves. Shaming, belittling and ridicule set children on the path of self loathing.

The artwork visually depicts how harmful phrases become the child's inner voice.
It serves as a reminder that yelling and berating leave long-term emotional scars that can take a life time of recovery!
