Eseltee Speech and Language Therapy was set up by myself, Lisa Lawrence, Specialist Speech & Language Therapist. I am a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist and am a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Health Care Professions Council and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Private Practice as well as being DBS checked. I graduated
from the Central School of Speech and Drama (London) in 1994 with a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Pathology. With over 22 years of experience, I have worked in a range of locations. I have worked within the NHS and for Charities. I have worked in a variety of settings including mainstream schools and colleges, special schools and colleges, community clinics, and residential homes and people’s own homes. For the last 10 years, I have worked for Autism Hampshire providing Speech and Language Therapy for children, young people and adults. I have worked within a number of Multi-disciplinary teams. I spent a period of time as the Co-ordinator for Bristol Central Community Learning Disablities Team. More recently. I was the Co-ordinator for a Specialist Support Team. My Specialist area is Autism Spectrum Disorders and Learning Disabilities. I spent some time as the Clinical Lead in Autism for Camden and Islington NHS Speech and Language Therapy Services including co-ordination of a working party for SLTs working within the field of ASD. I developed the initial Speech and Language Therapy Service within TreeHouse School. London (where teaching and learning is underpinned by using the principles of Applied Behavioural Analysis, working with ABA supervisors to develop speech, language and communication within ABA programmes). I take speech and language therapy referrals from Southampton and the surrounding area.
