We know appointments are hard to come by but we're working hard on a potential improvement. We'll be sharing details soon.

In the meantime, we'd ask you - please - to arrive on time and to cancel your appointment if you cannot now make it.

We cannot manage multiple problems at a single appointment, so we ask you to - please - focus on the key problem only. The image, below, is what we're thinking about and looking to complete.

When a service user presents with multiple issues at a single appointment, it causes delays which can lead to impacts for others, including our team. None of us enjoy waiting. If appointments overrun, it can cause frustration and lead to mistakes. None of us want that.

Like you, we are human beings. We ask that you work with us - please - so that our care can be as safe and thorough as it can be.

Thank you.

22/07/2025

Following discussions with the Patient Participation Group, ORDERING REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS will only be processed via the NHS app FROM 4 AUGUST 2025.

This will enable us to process repeat prescriptions far more quickly, which allows our admin staff to support more patients. We are making this change to improve our service; issuing repeats from paper documents is laborious, time consuming and an ineffective allocation of our resources.

The NHS app is a genuine example of technology improving services and maximising available resources. If you need support to configure your devices, please ask at reception and WE WILL HELP YOU, BETWEEN 1400-1600 EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

This is part of our developing strategy of continual improvement including recruitment of a new GP. Stay tuned for more details!

We thought it prudent to let you know there will be a full road closure on Higham Road with two-way traffic lights on the A6, starting Monday 21 July 25 to Monday 22 September.

These works are part of North Northamptonshire Council's efforts to improve road safety and traffic flow in the area.

Please consider the impacts this might have on your appointment times and allow extra time where necessary. Thank you, and stay safe on the roads!
