We’d Love Your Feedback

We’re inviting our patients to take part in a short survey to help us understand how we’re doing and where we can improve.

The survey has been developed with our Patient Participation Group and includes questions about our services, including the Anima online booking system that was introduced in October. Your feedback will help us review how this system is working and how we can continue to improve the care we provide.

The Survey is:
- Confidential and anonymous
- Takes just a few minutes to complete
- For patients aged 16 and over

If you’d like to share your thoughts, please complete the survey here or through the link in our bio:

Thank you for taking the time to help us improve our services. ☺️

Today is Young Carers Action Day 💙

Young carers are children and young people who help look after a family member due to illness, disability, mental health conditions or substance misuse. Their support often goes unseen but it makes a huge difference every day.

If you are a young carer, or you know someone who might be, help and support are available.

At Burton Latimer Medical Centre, we’re here to listen and help signpost you to the right services.

Find out more about Young Carers Action Day and the support available via Carers Trust: https://carers.org/young-care

Or visit the Northamptonshire Carer Association Website: https://www.northamptonshire-carers.org/

Notice to Patients

A reminder that Anima is open all day and monitored by a clinician throughout the day. There is no need to rush to submit your request first thing in the morning.

If the system reaches its safe working limit, it may temporarily pause. As soon as capacity becomes available, it will reopen again.

If a patient has already submitted a request but feels their condition has worsened or they are waiting longer than expected for a reply, they are encouraged to contact the practice so the team can review the progress of their request.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation while we ensure requests are managed safely for all patients.

Blood tests are available at the surgery; however, due to high demand our phlebotomy clinics are often fully booked up to three months in advance. If a blood test is required more urgently, patients may be advised to book at an alternative venue. Appointments elsewhere can be booked online at www.kgh.nhs.uk or by calling 01536 494411.

From the 9th of March Nene Park, Outpatients Nuffied Diagnostic Centre Corby and Isebrook Outpatients Wellingborough will no longer offer walk-ins for urgent blood tests. However, Kettering General Hospital Pathology Department will continue to be available for urgent walk-in appointments between 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Thank you to all patients for your patience and understanding while our team works to manage blood test appointments safely for everyone.

At Burton Latimer Medical Centre, we’re committed to making sure all patients have fair access to our blood pressure (BP) monitors.

Due to high demand, we are updating how our BP monitor loan system works:

- BP machines will be loaned with a £10 refundable deposit
- Machines must now be returned within 2 weeks
- If not returned within 2 weeks, the £10 deposit will be retained

When monitors aren’t returned, it prevents other patients from being able to check and manage their blood pressure at home.

If you’re having difficulty returning a machine, please contact our reception team.

Thank you for helping us support everyone in our community 💙
