We love it ❤️
It’s been a while since I’ve painted a mural but when I was asked to design a mural for the Charlotte James Nursing Home, I jumped at the chance. I had been working on developing my canvas abstract work at home and had this nagging feeling I wanted to create larger scale work again. Well, this was a superb opportunity I couldn’t resist. It’s been great to work with the owner and management team from the home. I loved their idea of wanting to bring the outside woodland feel inside, right inside their stunning new extension they’ve had built. Some residents are unable to get outside so we brought the outside in to them with this painting.
Their open day was on 28th March, and a super day was had by all, showcasing all their hard work, tears and joy over the last few months making the new build possible. It truly is a stunning, spacious and modern extension comprising of 9 extra large rooms for residents.
I am going in again next week to paint another 15ft mural, this newer one will be a corridor filled with garden and wild flowers.
I’m really looking forward to painting beautiful flowers and wildlife for the residents to enjoy for many years. The feeling I get knowing I’m bringing a bit of sunshine to people’s lives makes me so grateful and happy.
