There has been a recent meningitis outbreak, and it’s important that everyone knows what to do and where to get help.
📞 If you or someone else has symptoms of meningitis, call 999 immediately.
Meningitis can become serious very quickly, so fast action is essential.
📌 If you don’t have symptoms but think you’ve been in contact with a confirmed case, or you just want general advice:

SOCIAL PRESCRIBING DAY 2026!

Today, the Burton Albion Community Trust Social Prescribing Team celebrate their work in East Staffordshire.
Social Prescribers support people over 18 who have a GP practice in East Staffordshire.

The support consists of linking people to organisation and groups helping with specific non-medical needs. This includes issues such as housing, mental wellbeing, adult social care, physical exercise classes and hobby groups.

The service also provides team members specialising in form filling. This aids people apply for disability benefits including PIP, attendance allowance and blue badges.

Referrals to our service are taken from GP practices, self-referrals via the JOY app and from other external agencies. Support is free of charge and forms part of the East Staffordshire Primary Care Network .
