Yet again another patient who had developed thickened toe nails (onychauxis), and instead of seeking help sooner, struggled in silence for over a year! Also presenting with a fungal nail (onychomycosis) to the right 4th nail, we provided professional treatment and advice, discussing all available treatment options! Needless to say, this patient left the clinic feeling 1000% better! 😮‍💨

We are proud to announce that Footman Podiatry has taken on the contract for the provision of specialist Podiatrists to the Queen’s Hospital Diabetes Centre foot wound clinic (University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust)!

Our podiatrists will be working within this fantastic multidisciplinary team to assess and treat the most vulnerable diabetic patients with foot issues. We also look forward to working closely with community services to ensure the best outcomes for our mutual high risk patients 👣

Another before and after! This patient was not an elderly patient as you may expect; rather a middle-aged man with young children! But the same pride that prevents elderly people from seeking help with their nails is the what lead to this patient’s nails growing out of control! One quick consultation and his feet were back to normal, and we had advised him how he can best care for his nails moving forward! 💪🏼
