3 things I wish more people understood about aesthetic treatments as a registered nurse👇🏼
1️⃣ You must invest in evidence-based, quality skincare
Injectables absolutely have their place. But they’re just one part of the picture. Having injectable treatments and not using medical-grade skincare is like going to the dentist and not brushing your teeth in between appointments. Good skincare products like SPF, antioxidants, retinoids, and hydrators are what keep your skin strong, clear and healthy long-term.
2️⃣ Prevention always trumps correction
Most people wait until they see something before acting. The fine lines, the sagging, the tired-looking skin. But by the time you see visible changes, the internal processes, like collagen loss and skin laxity, have been happening for a while. That’s why prevention is so powerful. Starting small, early, and consistently will always give better outcomes than trying to undo years of damage later.
3️⃣ Natural results come from how things are done, not what is done
Looking “done” isn’t about having treatments - it’s about poor technique, too much volume, or chasing trends that don’t suit your face. When treatments are performed with skill, restraint and a deep understanding of facial anatomy, they don’t change how you look, they restore what’s been lost, soften what’s become harsh, and help you feel more confident in your own skin.
You don’t need to do everything. You just need to do what’s right for you. If you’re ready to understand what’s right for you, we’re here to help.
