Operation has been a success. They found that the socket from the previous hip replacement was not fixed securely and was damaging the ball and rubbing a muscle leading to bleeding.
Hopefully all sorted out now for 20 years or more!
I'll be popping in to clinic no doubt as soon as I'm more mobile, and back at it by November.
