There are many different reasons that you come to yoga class; not just to move your body, but to reconnect with yourself in a gentle, meaningful way.
It’s a space where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and let go of the noise of everyday life. With each practice, you feel stronger, more balanced, and more at peace—both physically and mentally.
Yoga reminds you to be present, patient, and kind to yourself, and you always leave feeling lighter and more grounded. 💫
As a beautiful yogic teaching says, “You cannot always control what goes on outside, but you can always control what goes on inside.”

Welcome to our yoga practice at Repton Village Hall. Each time you step onto your mat, you’re giving yourself the gift of space to breathe, move, and reconnect. Remember that yoga isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence. Some days you’ll feel strong and steady, other days softer and slower, and both are equally valuable. Every breath and every stretch is a step toward balance, calm, and self-kindness.

Yoga is so much more than just movement🤔 🧘🏻‍♀️
Yoga connects the body, mind, and breath in a way that transforms how we experience ourselves and the world around us. 🌍❤️
While the physical postures—known as asanas—build strength, flexibility, and balance; yoga’s deeper purpose is cultivating awareness, presence, and inner peace. 🕊️
Through mindful breathing and meditation, it teaches us to slow down, observe our thoughts without judgment, and respond to life with greater clarity and compassion. 🥰
Rooted in ancient traditions from India, 🪷yoga is a holistic practice that supports emotional resilience, mental focus, and spiritual growth. It is not simply about how a pose looks, but about how it feels, how we breathe through it, and how we carry that sense of mindfulness off the mat and into our daily lives.❤️
We can listen to our inner teacher and take a closer look at ourselves as layered individuals, understanding each Kosha.

🔴 Annamaya Kosha - Physical Body
The tangible body made of food and matter.
Muscles, bones, skin — your grounded, earthly
layer.

🟡 Pranamaya Kosha - Vital Energy Body
The life-force layer. Breath, circulation, energetic
flow that animates the physical body.

🟢 Manomaya Kosha - Mental-Emotional Body
Thoughts, feelings, sensory processing - your
inner dialogue and emotional landscape.

🔵 Vijnanamaya Kosha - Wisdom Body
Discernment, intuition, higher intelligence - the
observing and knowing aspect of you.

🟣 Anandamaya Kosha - Bliss Body
The deepest, most subtle layer - quiet joy, unity,
and profound inner peace.

From red (dense and physical) to violet (subtle and expansive), the colours move from grounding to transcendence — just like the koshas themselves. 💫

So many people believe the myths — “I’m not flexible enough,” “I’m too old,” “I’m not fit,” or “I can’t switch off my mind.” 🙃
The truth is, you don’t need to be flexible to start yoga — yoga helps you become flexible 💫in your body and your mind. It’s a journey, a practice that
doesn’t need experience, special gear, or a certain body type.
Yoga meets you exactly where you are. 💫
Every body, every age, every level is welcome. ❤️Step onto your mat and discover strength, calm, and confidence you didn’t know you had. ✨
