As part of National Recovery Month, we are delighted to announce that BAC will be joining the UK Recovery Walk 2025 in Wolverhampton on Saturday 13th September at 12:00pm.
This inspiring annual event brings together thousands of people from across the country to celebrate the power of recovery, challenge stigma, and shine a light on the strength, resilience, and hope within our communities.
Weβre calling on all BAC graduates, staff, friends, and supporters to come and walk with us. Itβs more than just a walk β itβs a day filled with connection, unity, and pride in what recovery means to us all. The event takes place at West Park, Wolverhampton, starting with the Recovery Walk itself and continuing with the vibrant Recovery Village from 1pmβ5pm, featuring music, performances, workshops, and stalls from recovery-focused organisations across the UK.
πTo make it easy to join, weβre running a coach from Burton and Stoke to Wolverhampton.
Seats can be booked by calling BAC Reception. To make sure we have space for everyone a Β£5 refundable deposit will secure your place and will be returned to you on the day of the walk.
Kevin Langan Programme Director of the BAC said:
"I would urge you all to make the effort and join us on The Recovery Walk in Wolverhampton. Recovery is about unity and we are all in this together β staff, clients, and families. Iβve been to several Recovery Walks in the past, and I can tell you it truly is a day to remember. When the march sets off, with trumpets, drums, and general happiness, everyone is buzzing to be part of such a grand gathering. We donβt walk far, maybe two miles, but the joy and gratitude along the way are incredible. Families bring their children and even their dogs, and the atmosphere is electric. This day is about showing the world that we DO and CAN recover. So come with us β walk tall, walk proud, and be part of something truly special."
β¨How to get involved:
1. Call BAC Reception 01283 537280 to reserve your seat.
2. Pay your Β£5 refundable deposit by dropping off Β£5 to either BAC in Burton or SRS in Stoke.
3. Join us on the day and be part of this amazing celebration of recovery.
This is an opportunity to come together, reconnect with the recovery community, and show the world what is possible. Whether youβre celebrating your own recovery journey or supporting someone you love, your presence matters.
πLetβs walk side by side, raise our voices, and continue building a future where recovery is recognised, supported, and celebrated everywhere.β
