Oh dear, even more bad news about fillers. Buying an ultrasound machine is quite costly and as it's only advised, this won't happen.

You should choose your clinic/therapist with great care. We are spending so much money on looking good but not spending as much time researching the best place to go.

As time goes on, we'll see more and more of this negative research.

Laser/ipl hair removal, which one gives best results?

You'll find that when doing your research, if they say laser, then they just have laser. If they say ipl, then they have just ipl.

Well, we have a multi platform machine that does both.

I've been doing hair removal for 13 years now, have a Level 4 certificate and now teach it. I've been lucky to try lots of machines so have a good knowledge of what is out there.

The machine I use is British made from Sonic Medical Systems. It's serviced regularly so works like a dream.

Fake nurse crackdown to boost public safety.

If any of you have fillers or anti wrinkle treatments, do you ever think about who is doing the procedure?

There are really, really good practitioners out there and they should be allowed to continue.

However, due to there being no regulation in the UK, it is a bit of a wild west out there.

Before regulations come into law, things are slowly happening and the story linked to is another step in the right direction.

It has come as a bit of a surprise to learn that anyone can call themselves a nurse and it is taking laws to protect the title.

Real nurses who have studied for years are worth their weight in gold and quite rightly, deserve protection for doing their job.

New measures to make it a criminal offence for people who are not qualified as a nurse to use the title and mislead the public.

I was only saying to a client the other day that I didn't think robots could do what I do. It's freaked me out seeing this robot put on false eyelashes! It seems nothing is going to be safe from the march of automaton.

I never want to seem a know it all, but how many clients have I said that collagen supplements for skin are no good? Lots. I'm at home watching BBC's Con or Cure and they are discussing them. The doctor is saying exactly what I'm saying.

She's saying daily spf is all you need!!!

Dr Xander adds that the research is financially supported by the beauty product companies anyway.
