I am a Clinical Massage Therapist, specialising in addressing acute and chronic pain issues. Originally qualifying in Australia, since returning home in 2011 I continued with my learning and training and last year gained a BTEC6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage with the JING Institute in Brighton. This course is a degree level course and is the highest massage qualification you can attain in the UK. Clinical Massage Therapy works predominantly on releasing myofascial restrictions and trigger points, hence reducing pain. I combine different techniques, such as, direct and indirect myofascial release, trigger point therapy, orthopaedic assessment, deep tissue sports massage, stretching, rehabilitation, self help exercises and advice. Focus is on soft tissue conditions and injuries, such as frozen shoulder, lower back and neck pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, hamstring and groin strains, knee pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ, face and jaw pain. As pain is a complex beast, exaggerated by our ever increasingly busy and demanding lifestyles I work holistically. Care isn’t primarily focused on the site of pain, it looks at your whole lifestyle. Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs - listening, observation and touch techniques are combined to help relieve your pain and provide a better quality of life. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance (2009) suggests to GP’s that one option of treatment for chronic lower back pain is manual therapies. I offer a free 15 minute consultation for anyone who has any questions, would like to more or would like to discuss whether my treatments would benefit them. A not too shabby start to the day!

Very excited that are now in Australia. Time for a good read by with my keto coffee, loaded with keto creamer, collagen and MCT oil.

May take a dip and a cheeky sweat it out in the infrared sauna later. All I need now is an ice bath - research is being done as I want one that has a filter and a chiller - any recommendations greatly received.

I’ll let you know what gems I find in the book, I expect it will be loaded with them!

Day 3, not sure what happened to day 1& 2 they seem to have merged into each other we have done so much. Day 1 travel, day 2 arrive and an 11th century mosque. Food is fabulous but no pics. Today so much, tour of old and new Dehli, Gandhi’s cremation site, rickshaw ride, around Old Dehli, Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal - oh and did I mention the traffic and that it has p**sed it down all day so felt like I was back in the UK as there are so many floods (monsoons came late this year). It is chaotic, but peaceful and harmonious all at the same time. I am in love with India. Enjoy the photos.

Our Story

Lisa Satchwell Energetics was founded by Lisa in 2012. A qualified therapist, and one of the top in the country for clinical massage, she has worked all over the world and trained in a variety of specialist treatments to offer a unique approach to chronic and acute pain.

“My passion is helping people to live pain free. In seeing clients regain their health and vitality and live their life to the full again,” says Lisa.

Starting her career in Australia where she originally qualified she returned to the UK in 2011 to continue in her thirst for learning and recently graduated with a distinction in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage at the JING Institute of Advanced Massage Training in Brighton.

The highest massage qualification in the UK Lisa is the only therapist in Staffordshire and Derbyshire to have graduated at this level.
