I was 25 when war changed me.
I didn’t come home the same man who left.
I came back with shadows in my head, memories I couldn’t escape, and a silence that got louder every night.

I didn’t know how to talk about it.
I didn’t want to burden anyone.
So I chose the only escape I could find — drink and drugs.
It numbed me… until it nearly killed me.

I’m still here because someone reached out before it was too late.
But too many of my brothers never got that chance.
