Kula Yoga Suffolk A cozy studio in Bury St. Edmunds where offering bespoke wellness treatments and classes.

Step inside our cosy studio; take a long exhale; and return to yourself through intentional bodywork and mindful movement. Our therapies range from injury rehabilitation and mobility conditioning to energetic and hands-on therapies so you can find the approach that most connects with you. Our classes also offer something for everyone, whether you need a gentle hour of Yin Yoga chill or want to build strength and control in Animal Flow. Every body is welcome to join our community of total beginners, twice-a-week regulars and long-time yogis. Leave your stress at the door and let us guide you back to feeling restored and balanced.

Which class are you joining this week?

MOBILITY - A movement class that develops maximum body control and mobility; designed to help you move further, stronger, deeper, with more grace and purpose by applying the principles of strength training throughout your full range of movement. Improve your movement potential and build stronger, more resilient joints.

PREGNANCY YOGA - Find inner stillness and prepare your body and mind for birth in a small and relaxing group. Nadia’s classes are gentle and slow-paced, offering a unique yogic approach by combining meditation, breathwork, and pregnancy specific stretches and poses to support your pregnancy and birth journey.

ANIMAL FLOW - A ground-based, bodyweight movement system designed to improve a range of skills including speed, power, endurance, flexibility, mobility, and stability, but can also serve as meditation. Get back in touch with your most natural, animal self to build strength from within.

YIN YOGA - A practise to come and meet yourself on a journey of stillness. A space to balance the Yang busyness of daily life, the practice allows you to connect with your physical, emotional and energetic self as poses are held for prolonged periods (up to five minutes) to work deeply with the body’s connective tissues.

All classes are 60 minutes and £12.50 per class

✨Free pregnancy yoga class with the code “YOGAFREE”

Hello gorgeous mamas and mamas to be. My name’s Nadia and I’ve been teaching yoga for over 7 years. During my first pregnancy I got so much out of doing regular pregnancy yoga and it supported me in ways I couldn’t imagine through my birth, that I knew it was something I wanted to offer pregnant women in my community as soon as I could.

I completed my pre and postnatal yoga qualification over a year ago and now that I’m back to teaching after maternity leave I am really excited to be offering my first pregnancy yoga classes starting Tuesday 4th of March.

Classes will be 6-7pm every Tuesday at my cozy studio off Hollow Road in Bury St. Edmunds. I plan to run them on a rolling basis rather than in blocks to give you the flexibility to come for as long as you want.

Spaces are limited to 5 spots so you can get individual attention from me and also get to know the other mamas over the weeks before your beautiful babies are born.

Vata balancing for tonight’s flow class 🌬

This time of year in the northern hemisphere a slow and conscious asana practise can be a really powerful way of brining qualities of warmth, stability, grounding and nourishment to your every day life!

Especially needed if the cold, windy qualities in our environment are making you feel out of balance and you’ve noticed more anxiousness, dry skin, cracking joints, and difficulty sleeping.

Think steady, slow movements, gentle awareness through the spine and pelvis, and smooth transitions. 🥰

Yin Yoga is that kind voice from a loved one that says, it’s okay, you can rest now, the world will still keep going if you stop. It is a practice that is so needed, to give us the space to check in with our bodies, which are constantly communicating with us, to notice how we’re doing, and to take stock of what we’re missing and what we need more of. Yin simply offers a moment of pause in what can feel like the treadmill of life, to just be in your present state, without needing to strive, push, or grow.

What does yoga community mean to you?

The way that yoga is practised has changed a lot over these last couple of years. Lockdown meant that thousands of yoga teachers started offering yoga online and many of us haven’t stepped foot in a yoga studio since.

There is great benefit and flexibility in a home yoga practise! You can choose to practise at a time that suits you, it’s a lot more accessible physically and financially, plus you don’t have to change out of your pj’s!

But I will always love the sense of community you get from going to a regular class. Where you learn each other’s names over the weeks, the catch ups on how your weekend was a few minutes before class, the feeling of care when someone notices your absence one week. There’s nothing like it!

That’s why I started teaching public again in the middle of a pandemic. To cultivate a time and place where people can come and practise yoga together. To reconnect to that sense of belonging and to build a community that’s with you through the seasons.
