This week we utilised our display boards for a fun game for any residents passing in the hallway - and it's a real classic, Spot The Difference! 💐

Games like these help keep cognitive skills sharp AND help us keep the home feeling colourful and warm to be in. 😊

Sock pairing as an activity may not seem like the most fun, but for some residents, it helps them to maintain a strong sense of independence and purpose 🧦

Residents here at The Beeches love it when they know that they are contributing to life here at the home.

It also helps keep cognitive and fine motor skills strong!

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! 🎄

We’ve been getting into the festive spirit this week with a lovely Christmas party, live entertainment from the talented Les Bailey and a very special visit from Santa. There were plenty of smiles, dancing, laughter and Christmas cheer all round. 🎅🏻

A big thank you to everyone who came along, bought tickets and donated prizes for the festive raffle. Together, you helped raise £223 for the residents’ fund. 🥰

The countdown to Christmas is well and truly underway and there is nothing like getting into the festive spirit with some delicious treats 🍪

Everyone had a lovely time decorating Christmas cookies with icing and colourful sprinkles, sharing plenty of smiles along the way. A simple activity that brought creativity, laughter and a little taste of Christmas magic to the day. 🎄

The Beeches has been a hub of entertainment this month!🎄

Last week, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful local church choir for a festive afternoon filled with Christmas carols, cups of tea and seasonal treats. The music created a lovely atmosphere and brought plenty of smiles throughout the home. 🎶

We have some happy residents at The Beeches! ❤️

A huge thank you to the 1st Ixworth Scout Group for the beautifully handwritten Christmas cards sent to residents. 💌

It was a joy to see the smiles as each card was opened and the festive messages were read. The cards are now proudly displayed around the home, adding an extra touch of Christmas cheer. 🎄

We had the most wonderful festive afternoon when the brilliant BUUK Collective Choir came to visit us! 🎶

It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces as residents enjoyed a fabulous performance filled with seasonal spirit.

There was plenty of clapping, lots of singing along, and even a little dancing as the room filled with warmth, music and Christmas cheer. The energy and happiness the choir brought were infectious and it was heartwarming to see everyone sharing such joyful moments together.

A huge thank you to the BUUK Choir for sharing their talent and bringing so much happiness to our home this December. 🎄

We're already looking forward to your next visit!

As a little addition to the residents' pamper and manicure, we gave them some festive nail art! We love to help residents feel put together and help them to express themselves through their appearance 💅🏼

Here at The Beeches Residential Home, we specialise in all aspects of dementia care.

While providing high-quality care is at the heart of what we do, it’s the personal and considerate delivery that makes us special.

Situated in the picturesque village of Ixworth, near Bury St Edmunds, our Grade ll listed home supports a small community of 44 residents. Our priority is in delivering care that maintains the dignity and individuality of each person, providing both physical and mental stimulation aimed specifically at those living with dementia.

Our facilities have been tastefully adapted to provide easy access for those with lower mobility, providing suitable wheelchair access along with a lift to all floors. All of our rooms have top of the range facilities to make sure residents are comfortable, including TV points, en-suite facilities and comfortable furnishings.
