Today, I delivered this beautiful wellbeing plant bundle to King Edward School in Bury St Edmunds - the plants will be placed in their ‘Reflection Room’ for students and teachers to enjoy.

When I started this project, my aim was to inject nature and greenery into schools’ wellbeing/pastoral/reflection rooms to support wellbeing and a connection to nature in schools when its needed most.

The plants are propagated by me but the beautiful pots are sponsored by IvylineGB and the plant care kit with fertilisers, leaf spray and yellow fly traps are all sponsored by Baby Bio

Thank you to everyone who nominated your Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury schools for February, the winning school for February will be announced soon.

🌱 Grow For Schools - An Update 🌱

If you’re not familiar with Grow For Schools, it’s a scheme I started just over a year ago to inject nature and greenery into Pastoral/Wellbeing rooms of local schools in Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury.

Since the scheme launched, 15 schools within the Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury areas have benefitted from plants for their Pastoral/Wellbeing rooms for students and teachers to enjoy.

🌱 The plants are propagated and grown by

🪴 The beautiful decorative pots are supplied by

💚 And I’m really pleased to now also partner with who will be sponsoring a plant care kit for every school, every month. A plant care kit consists of fertilisers, yellow fly traps and leaf spray. The perfect care kit to keep plants happy and thriving!

Head to the website to read more about the scheme and to find out which schools have been lucky winners so far.

Make sure to nominate your chosen school/s on the website too!

Excited to be partnering with and and offering complete plant kits to schools for the wellbeing of students.

When I grew up in South Africa, I was spoiled for choice with succulents, cacti and Euphorbia growing in my garden and surrounding areas.

A lot of those plants I now have in my plant room in the UK.

I have a new YouTube video on my channel now of my favourite succulents, cacti and Euphorbia, including this beautiful 40 year old cactus that I rescued from a lovely lady.

🌱 A spa day for plants 🌱

This Monstera Thai Constellation needed a repot so I decided to give it a bit of TLC…

🌱 I gave it a bigger pot, about 3cm bigger than the old pot

🌱 Checked the roots which looked healthy (soft, mushy roots means root rot. Plump, firm roots are healthy)

🌱 Mixed a fresh soil with bark for humidity and drainage, coco coir for root aeration, worm castings for fertiliser and perlite for drainage

🌱 Cleaned the leaves and stems with horticultural soap which is a great pest prevention and removes dust to allow the plant to photosynthesise

Grab 5% off your purchase on horticultural soap from - simply head to the Ladybird Plantcare website, shop for horticultural soap and enter ‘growmywellbeing’ at checkout!

I’m lucky to be able to work with such a diverse group of clients 💚

Today, I had the pleasure of returning to one of my regular clients, a local dementia care home to plant some Valentine’s pots.

I love seeing hands in soil, a connection to nature, pride in what’s been created and pure enjoyment during a planting workshop.

How beautiful are these creations?!

They’ve all been placed in resident’s bedrooms for them to nurture and enjoy.

I recently added a new plant shelf to my new plant room and initially felt like I’ve just ‘dumped’ a few plants on there to fill it.

I’ve given the shelf and all my plants a good clean up, added some grow lights and styled it to include some of my favourite plants.
