๐‘ฏ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’• ๐’๐’‡ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘พ๐’†๐’†๐’Œ

This is Amanda. She joined the '๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‡๐š๐›๐ข๐ญ ๐‚๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž' in October. Amanda is some who finds it difficult to relax, she is always moving, very active and rarely pauses for breath.

I have often smiled to myself (and a little bit of despair too if I'm honest) watching Amanda in Savasana in yoga over the past 4 years. She wiggles and wriggles and fiddles and finds it difficult to be still (and silent) ๐Ÿ˜‚

So when I see Amanda laying still and quiet and meditating every week day morning my heart genuinely spills over with happiness.

If Amanda can learn to meditate ๐€๐๐˜๐Ž๐๐„ can.

I don't think my joy watching her will ever lessen.

Balancing isn't just standing on one leg - it's about finding steadiness in unexexpected places. On Wednesdays this month we'll be rolling ourselves out along Vishnu's Couch, a side lying balance that invites us to strengthen the whole side body and core while resting on the edge.

Some days, bed calls louder than the world outside. Yesterday was one of those daysโ€”tired, low, completely out of sorts and wanting to hide away. But even the smallest actโ€”a step into wind and rain, a breath carried deepโ€”can unlock a quiet power within.

Though the mountain seems vast and steep, each tiny habit chisels a path. On the other side, a gentle paradise waitsโ€”calm, bright, balanced. And it all begins with one small step.

Balance is a dance of quiet courage and daily grace. What do you do to reaffirm balance in your life when everything feels completely wonky?

Today, I had to modify my burpees challengeโ€”thanks, grumpy back! Instead of powering through (and risking my ability to dance at future kitchen discos), I took the jump out. Did I still get my heart pumping? Absolutely! Victory lap for commitment, not perfection.

No shame hereโ€”just a big ๐Ÿคœ๐Ÿค› for listening to my body and showing up anyway. Movement, mindfulness, and even our yoga practice arenโ€™t about ticking boxes or pushing through pain. They're about finding ways to honour what matters mostโ€”even if it means swapping burpee jumps for burpee wiggles (bonus points for style).

So if you ever find yourself adjusting your practice, letโ€™s celebrate that. Itโ€™s not making excusesโ€”itโ€™s making space for what helps us grow, heal, and shine... one intentional step at a time.

Better to show up, do what you can than make excuses, tell yourself stories and end up feeling bad about the choice that you made.
