Hello its been some time since I've posted out on here. I hope you are all keeping well. I am now in my final year of my physiotherapy course and would like to share my research project below.
____________________________________________________________________
**Take part in my research study!**
I am a final year BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy Apprentice studying at the University of Essex. As part of my final-year research project, I am investigating “In what ways do women experiencing menopause and using HRT perceive its impact on their capacity to participate in exercise?” and looking to explore women’s view.
Are you:
• Currently taking HRT for 6 months or more?
• AND Peri-menopausal or up to 5 years post-menopausal?
• Willing to talk about your thoughts or experiences related to exercise — whether you currently exercise or not?
This study explores how women going through menopause and taking HRT feel it affects their ability to exercise. It aims to understand what helps or makes it harder to be active, and how physiotherapists can better support women during the menopausal transition.
What’s Involved?
You’ll be invited to take part in a 30–40-minute one-to-one Zoom interview, where you can share your personal experiences of how (or if) HRT has influenced your engagement with exercise.
There are no right or wrong answers, everything you share will be confidential and anonymous.
Interested in taking part?
Please email me or send a direct message (DM) to find out more to volunteer.
Thank you,
Gemma Clarke
BSc Physiotherapy Apprentice.
