Mark became convinced of the effectiveness of acupuncture after being treated successfully for a condition that had not responded to conventional medical treatment.

He trained for four years at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, which is the only institution to fully integrate the two major branches of Acupuncture: TCM and 5 Elements.
