Living in our own homes is part of who we are – so many memories… reminders of how things used to be. Independence. Family. Identity. The decision to choose care is never an easy one.
Elderly care is a cornerstone of societal fabric which has undergone a massive transformation in recent years – yet the stigma of nursing homes remains the same; institutionalisation, loss of independence, clinical care in a clinical setting and, possibly, a move away from family. It’s like losing your identity.
So, what if I told you there’s an alternative way to spend your autumn years? What if you’re just not ready for that nursing home?
An assisted living facility enables people to retain control of their own lives and CHOOSE their own care. Your own home – but in a different location. Life continues – an enjoyable life – hopefully with much less worry, and with the reassurance that someone is always on hand to help if you need it – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our twilight years shouldn’t be endured – they should be embraced.
At Nowton Court, our aim is for our residents continue to live independently, in a comfortable, quiet and beautiful setting – with our support. As part of Heritage Manor, a company with seven different homes across the UK, we have an established background in care.
We cover all the chores which may have become difficult – cooking, cleaning, washing, shopping, making appointments – which means that you can just…live! Assisted living gives you the freedom to come and go as you please, see family when you want, eat good food, enjoy companionship and activities with other like-minded people – and just feel safe and secure. YOU are in control of what care you have and when – it’s your choice, not ours. Our suites are comfortable, homely and spacious – our residents make them home.
Costs are set considerably lower than residential homes to ensure that, if you do need to buy in personal care, you end up paying roughly the same (or less) – and you get to live in a beautiful place! If you don’t need care – you don’t have to have it – the choice is entirely yours. You may just choose to enjoy a luxury retirement!
