A week of Sharing favourite lessons from school days, a big variety of choices. Tuesday afternoon a film with Jim Broadbent called The Duke , really popular choice. Wednesday was Sally and George from WSH sharing the future plans for our local hospital, fundraising ideas including Sky Dives, watch this space for an announcement.

Well we are in need of a catch up, we have had an afternoon of Hoy Bingo to win Easter Eggs, a great hit, then Jude came to play piano for us, some amazing tunes from shows and some were a great step back in time and greatly enjoyed. Monday was chatting about the Lessons we didn’t like at school, we had Geography, French and Maths and as usual let us into many areas of school. Tuesday afternoon was Film time, The Duke with Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirram , a true story that really hit the spot, fully enjoyed by all, and with Neapolitan ice cream wafers for a treat.

Well last week was action packed, two sessions of chair yoga and meditation, Monday sharing photos and adventures of South Africa. Tuesday afternoon film time picked by Val the wonderful Charlton Heston in El CID , everyone gathered and enjoyed it. Wednesday coffee morning included celebrating Ken’s 91st birthday, cake galore. In the afternoon we had a visit from Martyn Taylor a Historian came to share the history of Nowton Court, full of amazing information that bought the house to life.

This week started Monday with Chair yoga and in the afternoon we chatted about our favourite Christmas memory which was so interesting.Tuesday Matthew joined us to teach how to do beautiful pastel landscapes, some fabulous outcomes . So first Monday in 2026 bought us a wonderful falling of snow that looks so picturesque from inside 😂we started with a relaxing chair yoga and after lunch we gathered around the table, the subject share your favourite Christmas, it was a huge success and spiralled to many other subjects. Frank the Trumpet did not disappoint as he came to Nowton for New Years Evecelebrations. What a final week to 2025
Monday was yoga and Hoy Bingo in the afternoon with snacks. Tuesday we did our poetry around the table with the last of the Christmas Cake. Today New Years Eve started with yoga followed by Coffee morning, this afternoon we will be celebrating with Frank the Trumpet, singing all the old tunes that everyone will request and join in .
