HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We’re incredibly excited to officially announce our lead & guest speakers for the 2026 Running Workshop Series 🏃🏼‍♀️🔥

🔷 Nathan Mill - An experienced physiotherapist with an extensive background in elite sport, particularly professional rugby league, as well as years in private practice. Nathan will be sharing practical, evidence-based insights on injury prevention, load management, and keeping runners durable and performing at their best.

🔷 Ed Tooley - A specialist nutritionist with a wealth of experience consulting across elite sport environments. Ed will be breaking down performance nutrition for runners, covering fuelling strategies, recovery, race prep, and how to optimise nutrition without compromising performance.

🔷 Guest Speaker: Ben Akin - Professional triathlete and triathlon coach, bringing real-world experience from racing and coaching at a high level. Ben will provide valuable insights into endurance training, mindset, and translating elite principles into everyday performance.

This workshop series is designed to give runners practical tools, expert knowledge, and real-world strategies you can apply immediately - whether you’re chasing PBs or simply aiming to stay healthy and consistent in 2026!

✨ Festive Season Body Prep: 3 Tips to Avoid Injury ✨

🎄 1: Break Up Long Periods of Sitting

Whether you’re Christmas shopping online, wrapping gifts, or deep into a movie marathon - your body hates sitting for too long. Breaking up sitting every 20-30 minutes improves circulation and reduces stiffness in your lower back, hips and neck. Even 2 minutes of walking or stretching can make a big difference.

🎄2. Do a Quick Warm-Up Before Heading into the Cold

Cold weather = tighter muscles + slower joint lubrication = higher injury risk. A short 2-3 minute warm-up improved muscle performance and reduced strains.

🎄 3. Keep Some Strength Work in your Week

Strength exercises help to protect your joints; support your posture and reduce injury risk - especially when your routine gets chaotic.

You don’t need a gym; sit-to-stands, wall push-ups, calf raises all count. Even small amounts of strength work each week improve resilience and reduce aches.

🎄 Small improvements = bug protection during the busiest month of the year. Save this for later and share it with someone who always pulls a muscle putting up the decs!
