Escape want to say a big thank to everyone who came to their festival last month - there was food, lots of games and social chit chat and they sang and danced the day away with DJ Mathew.

There were lots of prize winners too and we had some lovely gifts donated, which helped us raise a massive £468.55 for the day service amenities fund. This will go towards buying new items for people we support to use in day services.

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this happen, our colleagues, volunteers who even came to help on their days off.

This inspiring new noticeboard at Ramsbottom Centre shows motivational quotes and it will be updated every month by people we support and staff.

There are purple and pink arrows pointing to 'be' with different words on them like happy, smiling, thoughtful, fantastic, calm. Above it are the words 'motivational monthly quotes'. Escape have been growing butterflies for the summer!

These photos show how the caterpillars grew and then disappeared into their coccoons over about three weeks, before they were released into the garden.

Can you spot the butterfly in the fourth photo?

alt text: four photos, the first 2 show caterpillars in jars, in photo 1 they are about 1cm long and in photo 2 they are about 4 or 5 cm long. The third photo shows several coccoons and the fourth shows a butterfly in the garden with forget me not flowers

We've got some exciting news to share!
We're setting up a printing workshop for screen printing and fabric design which will be staffed by people we support in Bury.

We're working with Cabasa Carnival Arts to give people we support more opportunities to learn new skills and do jobs they choose.

Thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority for the Foundational Economy Innovation Fund funding that is making it possible for us to support more people with disabilities to work and learn.

Our Story

We support people to #livetheirbestlife. Persona was created in October 2015. The services which make up Persona were previously delivered in-house at Bury Council. We are proud to have a long track record as quality in-house service but welcome the opportunity to take forward a new organisation with the ability to do things differently. We provide a range of different support options designed to be flexible to meet the diverse needs of the community. We categorise these as Days, Stays and Lives.
