As a youth-focused charity, our mission is to help young people feel heard, safe, and empowered to make positive choices. Here at Early Break, we feel very strongly about amplifying young people's voices during this years Children's Mental Health Week. Have a look at what the young people in our services get up to and how they feel about their experiences here.

Keep an eye out for posts on our story this week, where we will be asking questions and sharing facts in celebration of children’s Mental health week!

National HIV Testing Week (NHTW) is an annual event which seeks to promote regular testing in England, particularly among groups most affected by HIV. Regular testing helps to reduce the numbers of undiagnosed people and those diagnosed late, as well as raise awareness and increase knowledge of HIV to reduce stigma.

There are clinics across Greater Manchester that can be accessed this week for testing and condoms.

If you are 19 and under and live in Oldham, you can contact 0161 723 3880 for support with any sexual health needs.

πŸŽ‰ Janette is celebrating an incredible 20 years with Early Break! 🎊 Check out her amazing journey and the impact she's made! 🌟

"I joined Early Break in September 2005, became a Youth Offending Service link worker in January 2006, and worked as an Advocacy worker for 15 years. I also served as a CAMHS link worker in Bury for 9 years. For the past 5 years, I've been a mindfulness worker, and I'm currently an Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioner". 🌟

I have really enjoyed the last 20 years working at Early Break and have met some fabulous colleagues and managers. I have worked with clients from all walks of life who have trusted me with their stories and struggles. It has been a pleasure working alongside them to help them find solutions and enabling them to make better life choices.
