Coeliac disease is more than just a food intolerance. It’s an autoimmune condition that can impact every part of a person’s life β€” physically and mentally.

From chronic pain, fatigue and digestive issues to anxiety around food, social situations and feeling misunderstood, the effects can go far beyond what people see on the surface.

This Coeliac Awareness Month, we’re helping raise awareness, encourage understanding, and remind those living with coeliac disease that they are not alone πŸ’š

Today we are supporting PDA Action Day.

Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a profile of autism that can show up as extreme anxiety around everyday demands and expectations. For some young people, this may look like avoiding tasks, needing control, masking difficulties, or becoming overwhelmed by routines and pressure.

Our Emotional Health and Wellbeing Team recently had some training on PDA from to increase our awareness of how it presents, and how we can meet the needs of young people.

Have a look at the PDA graphic - would you add anything else?
