Flexible working looks different for everyone — and for me, it’s about creating a schedule that supports both my lifestyle and, most importantly, my clients. 💼✨

As a Director, Occupational Therapist, and Case Manager, my work doesn’t always fit into traditional 9–5 hours. Some evenings are spent goal setting, managing risks, responding to emails, planning new INAs, and preparing for days away supporting clients.

The flexibility of my role means I can adapt, stay responsive, and provide person-centred support when it’s needed most — while still building a way of working that aligns with my own wellbeing and balance.

Tonight’s setup:
✔️ Planning for a new INA
✔️ Risk management
✔️ Client communication & emails
✔️ Packing for two nights away working
✔️ Preparing to make a difference tomorrow

Flexible working isn’t about working less — it’s about working intentionally, efficiently, and compassionately. 🤍

Today we held another Food Hygiene & Infection Control training session, delivered by Complete Training for our amazing Rehabilitation Support Workers, Ash, Matt, Tom, Rebecca, Jess and Ciara 👏

The session included hands on learning to help reinforce best practice. Using UV light, staff were able to clearly see which areas were missed during hand washing. A powerful reminder of how important thorough technique is in maintaining high hygiene standards 🧼✨

We also practiced the correct use of PPE, including aprons and gloves, with a focus on how to safely remove them to prevent contamination and protect both staff and those we support.

Well done everyone! 💙

A fresh update from our downstairs board 👇

We’ve updated our office board for Mental Health Awareness Week, and this month it’s been put together by Alaric, our Mental Health Champion.

This year’s theme, “Take Action,” is all about the small steps we can take to support our wellbeing, checking in with someone, taking a break when we need it, or reaching out for help when things feel heavy. Alaric’s display brings together resources, prompts, and gentle encouragement to make those steps feel a little easier.

If you’re in the building this May, have a look. 👀
