Bury Shopmoblility provides scooters & wheelchairs to facilitate independent shopping & socialising.

We hire out electric scooters, electric wheelchairs and maunal wheelchairs for the use of our members. To become a member, two forms of ID are required and both need to show the name and address of the person(s) joining. Membership is £12.50 annually with a additional session cost of £3 or £5 for the full day (09:30 - 3:30) or we offer a Daily Hire service for £10 per trip. Our annual Christmas raffle is now underway

Our building face lift continues with a fresh coat of paint applied with the help of three local scouts, who gave up their Sunday to assist!

Open as normal throughout the autumn to get that Christmas shopping started!

Our boiler and radiators are being replaced and upgraded this week!

Apologies for any disruption and for our appearance whilst we look a little scruffy.

We are open for business as usual through these works.

The boss won't allow us to add it to the fleet!

Feel free to get in touch if you have a scooter or wheelchair that's no longer required, or if you are looking for a mobility scooter, we may have one for sale that fits your needs.

From April 1st, our hire charges have increased. The new prices are:

Half day hire: £4
Full day hire: £7
Daily Hire: £12
Wheelchair Day Hire: Unchanged at £10
Millgate Wheelchair Hire: £5
Long term wheelchair hire: £7 per day for non-members, £5 for members with a £50 refundable deposit.

Membership fees remain unchanged at £15 per year.

Due to inclement weather and a poorly heating system, we have had to close early today.

In 2024 alone, we have to find an additional £3,000 to remain in the same position we are in now, which is operating at a controlled loss.

We don't like increasing prices but, unfortunately, the realities of our position mean it is likely that prices will rise more frequently.
