I’m so excited to formally introduce you to Jo Mitchell Wellbeing 🌟

As I shared last week, this new look and name reflect a renewed direction for my business. While I’m still committed to giving my deeply relaxing reflexology treatments, this evolution makes space for an important new chapter in my work: my School Wellbeing Programme 🏫✨

I’m thrilled to officially launch my fun, interactive programme in primary schools, giving children practical tools to nurture their emotional wellbeing 💫

To celebrate this new chapter, my brand new website is now live - please take a look via the link in my bio.

So just to recap:

🌱My company name is now Jo Mitchell Wellbeing.
🌱My new logo and new website are officially launched.
🌱The booking link for treatments remains the same and is in my bio.

I’ll post more about my schools programme soon - in the meantime, I’d love to know what you think of the new look and feel! 🌸

….I’m not entirely comfortable sharing this here, as grief is such a personal thing. But I’ve spoken about my dad and his dementia before, and it’s something that’s very present for me at the moment 🦋

My dear dad passed away in hospital on 2nd January from double pneumonia. I’m still trying to make sense of his death, and of the years of gradual loss that came with his dementia 💫

He was so many things — hard working, smart, dignified, wise, kind, dependable, funny and generous. But most of all, he was a truly gentle man and deeply devoted to his family. I am heartbroken and will miss him immensely 🤍

I’m so proud of the successful launch of my mental health and wellbeing programme in primary schools. I’ll share more about this and a few other exciting things in the new year 💫

I’m incredibly grateful to all my reflexology clients for continuing to make my work so enjoyable and rewarding. It’s a real privilege to work with you all 💞

I’ll be back in the treatment room on Monday 5th January- in the meantime wishing everyone a peaceful and calm festive season ✨

....in a recent session, I picked up an imbalance in my client’s pelvic reflex, near to the bowel. Within a couple of weeks, she was having emergency surgery to have a grumbling appendix removed. Reflexology is never about diagnosis — it’s about gentle support and listening to what your body tells me ✨

…to the man behind the Alzheimer’s - my dad 💞
Kind and generous, fun and funny, super smart and hard-working. A man of integrity and strong values. A family man. He was always so dignified, even as he realised the illness was engulfing him ✨
Somehow, his illness has brought us closer and I have more respect and love for him than ever 💖
When I visit him in the care home, I tell him stories about the kids or my week. Or we just sit together and hold hands, and it feels special 💫
I know he doesn’t remember it when I’ve left but I like to believe he at least holds on to the feeling ☀️
Today on International Men’s Day, I’m choosing to see and celebrate the whole man he is, and always has been. 🤍

….every menopause journey is different, but the one symptom most of my clients have in common is disrupted or poor-quality sleep. This can happen for all sorts of reasons, from night sweats, anxiety or stress to an overactive mind or needing to p*e more often 🥺

So I’m resharing my self-reflexology sleep reel for World Menopause Day (tomorrow). This simple technique can help to relax the nervous system, which in turn can have a positive impact on sleep and mood. It can be very effective if done regularly, - especially at bedtime ✨

Focus on any crunchy, tense or tender spots, make sure you work on both thumbs and take slow deep breaths to calm your system 🌸

I can support you through this phase of life - if you’d like to find out more how reflexology can help you, message me or you can find my website and booking links in my bio 🔗

...these wonderful emoji portraits of the bigger emotions (sadness, anger, anxiety) were drawn by Years 3-6 during my visit last week for World Mental Health Day 🤩

We did a powerful and thought provoking activity around these emotions and how they impact our bodies. Then we talked about the importance of having our own go-to self-soothing strategies✨

I was so proud of their insight, creativity and willingness to share…..so excited to work with them again soon 💫

Drop me a message if you’re in or around the Bushey area and would like me to visit your school 📨

...I had a really productive meeting with the headteacher of a local school at the end of last week, and I’m really excited to be visiting again next Monday morning (ahead of World Mental Health Day next Friday 💛) to help launch my new pupil-led mental health programme for the school 🌟

I’ll be kicking things off by talking to all pupils across the school during assembly, followed by time in each year group, where I’ll be leading discussions and doing some fun, simple activities with the children around mental health 🧠🌟

With 1 in 5 children facing mental health issues () and an average 281-day wait for first NHS contact (), I’m bringing pupil-led mental health programmes directly into schools to make a difference now ✨

This is one of the projects I’ve been working on while my hand has been healing and I’m beyond happy to see it coming to life — more details to come next week! 🌺

If you’re in or around the Bushey area and would like me to visit your school, drop me a message 📨
