Reflect on loved ones we've lost through shared personal memories, discover cultural and seasonal traditions, and learn about the symbolic role of elements in nature such as poppies, rosemary, and bees. The session concludes with a tasting of local honeys.

Join us on Thursday 13 November 2025 at Peace Hospice for our Firewalk — a bucket list, inspiring evening complete with brilliant entertainment.

From 6:30pm, we kick things off with:

🎭 Fire show & stilt walkers between 6:30pm–7:30pm

🔥 Expert-led Firewalk at 7:45pm — walk across red-hot embers and feel the exhilaration.

🍔 There will be a refreshments van onsite to keep you fuelled.

We really enjoyed co-delivering a nature themed workshop with Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care and Communities 1st today at Farriers Way Community Centre, Borehamwood. Our theme was 'Telling the Bees' which involved tasting local raw honeys, talking about the connection between bees and humans and, most importantly sharing our experiences of grief and bereavement.

☑️ Refreshments available – enjoy a warm drink and sweet treat on the day.

A lovely chance to take a wander, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and support the hospice. Every cuppa, cake, and plant helps make a difference.

We will also be running a pop-up shop where you can browse a selection of good quality pre-loved summer womenswear and accessories from our charity shops. You’ll find a variety of pre-loved and new goods available to purchase – perfect for a seasonal refresh or a thoughtful gift.

Here's a sneaky peak at our new sunflower activity box designed by The Green OT for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care (funded by Watford Council), which invites recipients to
grow sunflowers from seed (all materials included).

They even include a special personal handwritten postcard from our wonderful volunteers from Nordic Walking Watford.

We are so excited about this project and hope it will help people living with life limiting illness to manage symptoms like breathlessness and anxiety whilst exploring the wonderful Green spaces that we're fortunate to have on our doorstep in Hertsmere

🫶 We are delighted to be partnering with Green Connections Community Interest Company to run a new wellbeing workshop at Peace Hospice, Watford, next Tuesday 13 May, and there are still a few places available!

The session is open to people affected by the diagnosis of a progressive life-limiting illness, including family and carers.

Those who join us at the one-off wellbeing session will be guided gently through a relaxing combination of movement, craft and nature-themed activities, designed to provide joy and relaxation.
