🎶✨ A huge thank you to the wonderful students from the Queens School choir who performed a truly lovely carol service for our residents here at Kestrel Grove! ✨🎶

The atmosphere was absolutely magical — so festive, heart-warming, and filled with smiles. Everyone joined in and sang along, making it a really special afternoon. ❤️🎄

Students from our local Primary School visited and performed a beautiful carol service for our residents at Kestrel Grove. Their voices filled the room with warmth and joy — and everyone sang along! 🎶😊

🎄🧝‍♀️ Kestrel Grove Celebrated Elf Day! 🧝‍♂️✨

Today at Kestrel Grove, we sprinkled a little festive fun (and a touch of naughtiness!) into our Elf Day celebrations.
Our wonderful staff dressed up in bright elf colours and full elf outfits, bringing smiles all around! 💚❤️

Meanwhile, our residents spent the day getting creative — decorating gingerbread houses and teddy biscuits 🏠🍪✨
The purpose of our Elf Day festivities is to spread joy, laughter, and a sense of togetherness as we head into the Christmas season. ❤️🎅

🎄✨ Festive Fun at Kestrel Grove! ✨🎄
Our residents have been super busy today getting creative with some Christmas paper arts and crafts! ✂️🎨

We made jolly Santa Clauses 🤶🎅 and adorable cone Christmas trees 🎄🌟 — with plenty of colour, glitter and sparkle everywhere! ✨😂

Christmas songs played in the background, making the whole room feel warm, joyful and wonderfully festive. 🎶❤️

Today we celebrated with a Winter Wonderland theme, dressing up in silver, icy blue and white. 🤍💙✨
Our beautiful Christmas tree is up too — a classic royal look that’s already filling Kestrel Grove with festive magic! 🎄👑✨

And the fun doesn’t stop here…
We have Christmas dress-up days ALL December, and we absolutely can’t wait to see everyone’s amazing outfits! 😍🎅🎁

Staff Spotlight 🌟

Meet Milly, our wonderful receptionist who greets everyone with a smile the moment they walk through our doors. Warm, organised, and always ready to help residents, families, and staff, she brings a special energy to the home every day. Milly loves speaking with families and residents, and says that no two days are ever the same.

She is proud to be the first point of contact for the home and enjoys making visitors feel welcome by greeting them warmly and building relationships over time. A confident, bubbly personality is her strongest tool at work - and nothing makes her smile more than her puppy. She says the residents brighten her day, and one of her favourite memories is finding a resident’s lost wedding ring. If she had to describe our care home in three words, she’d choose homely, warm, welcoming. Milly is also a night owl who loves a good roast dinner!

🎄✨ Christmas festivities have officially begun at Kestrel Grove! ✨🎄
Our residents and staff have been busy filling the home with colourful decorations, sparkling baubles, and plenty of festive cheer. The rooms are looking wonderfully bright and cosy — a perfect start to the season! 🌟💖

As we admire our beautiful Christmas trees, did you know…
🌲 The tradition of Christmas trees dates back to 16th-century Germany, where families brought evergreen trees indoors and decorated them with candles, apples, and handmade ornaments. The custom spread across Europe, becoming especially popular in Britain after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert displayed a decorated tree at Windsor Castle in 1848. Today, Christmas trees around the world shine with lights, colour, and joy — just like ours at Kestrel Grove! 🌟🎁

🎉 Happy International Hat Day from Kestrel Grove! 🎉

What a fantastically fun morning we’ve had! Our residents spent the day getting creative and designing their own wonderful hats — and the results were absolutely spectacular! 😍

🎨✨ Using everything from bright ribbons, colourful feathers, sparkling gems, paper flowers, lace trim, glittered card, buttons, fabric offcuts, and even a few quirky treasures from our craft boxes, each hat became a true work of art. The room was filled with laughter, imagination, and a whole lot of glue!

👒🌍 A little history:
International Hat Day is all about celebrating self-expression, culture, and creativity through the art of headwear. From vintage styles to whimsical creations, hats have always been a symbol of personality — and our residents embraced that spirit beautifully today!

👩‍⚕️💙 Our staff couldn’t resist joining in the fun too, and soon the whole home was transformed into a parade of colourful, decorative, and wonderfully silly hats!

Thank you to everyone who made today such a joyful celebration. It’s days like these that remind us how special our community truly is. 💖
