⚠ Weight Loss Injections – NHS Access Update
Seen the headlines about Mounjaro® and Wegovy® now available on the NHS?

Here’s the truth:

🚫 GPs in our locality, including Manor View Practice, CANNOT currently prescribe these medications for weight loss.

✅ Access is via a strict NHS rollout, with very limited availability.

To qualify, you must have:
🔹 A BMI over 40+ or, 37.5 if you’re from Black, Asian or other minority background.
AND
🔹 At least 4 of the following:
• Type 2 Diabetes
• High Blood Pressure
• High Cholesterol
• Sleep Apnoea
• Cardiovascular Disease

If you don’t meet all criteria, you won’t be eligible under current NHS rules.

📌 We kindly ask that you don’t book GP appointments solely to request weight loss injections. These aren’t currently available through the practice, and doing so can affect access for patients who need medical care.

If you’re eligible, NHS services will contact you directly.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.

It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
