The image on the left is a normal, healthy ear canal (right ear) and tympanic membrane (eardrum). The image on the right shows significant swelling and infection within the left ear canal. This required an urgent GP appointment and possible onward referral to ENT. It is important even if you think it is just ear wax, that you have your ears looked at by a properly trained professional, who can easily spot abnormalities, and refer appropriately.

The Priestland Rd is closed from the Dunluce Rd to the Ballyclogh Rd until 23rd August.
You can access the Ballyclogh Rd from the Coleraine side as usual but diversions are in place from Bushmills. Please allow extra time for the required diversions.

Meet Bob McConaghy a 93 year old hearing aid patient of mine! Still a full time farmer at 93. He's such a fun guy to to be around too, always good for a joke.
