We’re always grateful when our patients take the time to share their experiences — and Stephen’s story is a great example of how we help people get answers, fast.

Stephen came to Peak Physio & Injection with severe lower back pain and nerve symptoms caused by a disc-related condition (radiculopathy). We quickly arranged a private MRI, which confirmed the diagnosis, and coordinated a fast-track consultation with an orthopaedic spinal surgeon — significantly reducing the waiting time compared to NHS routes.

He’s now set for surgical intervention and will be returning to us for post-op rehabilitation and fitness restoration 💪

✨ Community Spirit at the Kinder Barrel Race ✨

This weekend we swapped our treatment room for teamwork and hills as the Peak Physio & Injection team took part in the legendary Kinder Barrel Race in Edale 🍺🏃‍♂️

For those who don’t know, the race is inspired by the tale of determined locals running across Kinder to fetch a barrel of beer after the Nags Head Pub pumps ran dry 🍻. These days it’s all for fun, challenge, and a brilliant cause. Raising funds for Edale and Hope Schools.

We’re proud to say our team gave it everything, finishing 15th place 🙌. More importantly, we learnt loads from building the rig, to finding our stride as a team. We’ll be back next year stronger, faster, and ready for round two! 💪

A big shout out to our teammate Sarah Ridgeway of Rural Fitness, where we also rehab many of our clients. Collaborative working at its best 👏

With over 10 years of experience in both the NHS and elite sports, Marc brings an unrivalled level of expertise to our team. He has worked with Olympic & Paralympic teams, including Boxing, Canoeing, Triathlon, and Gymnastics, as well as Hull City Tigers and Derbyshire County Cricket Club.

Marc holds a Masters in Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and currently works as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in the Emergency Department at Chesterfield Hospital.
