It is with great sadness that we announce that Rob passed away on 10th September 2025 following a short illness. He was surrounded by love. He will be missed deeply and forever by all his family and friends.
Rob always achieved whatever he set his mind to, and his family are incredibly proud of him and his many achievements, especially becoming the Chief of Derbyshire Fire Service.

Angela May (nee Mellor)

It is with deep sadness that we announce, on Monday 15th September 2025, Angela of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at The Haddon Hall Care Home, aged 93 years.
Angela was a loving Mum to Sandra and Martyn, loving Mum-in-law to Jane and the late Clive.
Loving Nana to Beckie and Jenny, Heather and Daniel, Natalie, Rob and Chip.
And a much loved great Nan.
Angela will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, a truly lovely lady.

PAULA HOBDEY
(formerly Mrs Kitchen) nee Criddle

Died peacefully at Macclesfield District Hospital on Sunday 7th September 2025, aged 88 years. Paula was a retired Primary School Teacher, having taught at Harpur Hill Primary School and Buxton Junior School, for many years.
A much-loved Mum to Louise, Jane and Frances and mother-in-law to Anthony, Phil and Paul. Treasured sister to Wenda and Gill. Loving Nana to Gavin, Claire, Lisa, Tony, Samantha, Eleanor, Samuel and Paul and their partners Lynne, Mike, Andy, Sarah, Hannah and Daisy. Wonderful Great Nana to Charlotte, Harry, Thomas, Billy, Jacob, Eddie, Ethan, Rose, Freddie, Stan, Zach and Bonnie and partners Shaun and Beth. She touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Paula’s life will be held at Macclesfield Crematorium on Monday 29th September at 10.45am. Everyone is welcome to attend, please wear bright colours.
