Job Title: Treatment Room Nurse
Location: Hafan Iechyd, Caernarfon
Salary: Band 5/6 depending on experience
Hours: 25 hours
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Treatment Room Nurse to join our friendly and supportive general practice team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse who enjoys delivering high-quality patient care in a primary care setting.
You will play a key role in providing a wide range of treatment room services, supporting both patients and the wider clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
• Cervical Screening
• Contraception services
• Deliver wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and suture removal
• Administer injections and vaccinations, including immunisations and travel vaccines
• Perform venepuncture (blood sampling)
• Monitor patient health (e.g. blood pressure, pulse, ECGs where appropriate)
• Assist with minor surgical procedures
• Provide patient education and health promotion advice
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with practice policies
• Ensure high standards of infection prevention and control
About You
• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
• Experience in primary care or treatment room settings preferred
• Competent in wound care, immunisations, and phlebotomy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to delivering patient-centred care
Desirable Skills
• Training in Cervical Cytology
• Training in travel health or cervical screening
• Knowledge of GP clinical systems (e.g. EMIS)
