Mark is our in-house nutritionist and has been involved in food, fitness, and healthcare for over 25 years. He helps to make sure each of our products contain the very best in nutrition, including vitamins and minerals, so our dieters have the chance to change their health and lose weight.
Dieting Myth No.1
Rapid weight loss leads to excessive loss of muscle and slowing of metabolism, which is bound to lead to weight gain.
The truth
Studies on our diet and rapid weight loss show that THIS IS NOT TRUE and the metabolic rate does slow down but only by 80-150kcal per day and weight loss CAN BE maintained on our diet.
What’s considered ‘rapid weight loss’?
According to weight loss experts, losing more than 3 pounds a week is considered fast. In your first week, you’ll initially lose a lot of weight, quite quickly - this is often referred to as ‘water weight’. You lose this by cutting down on salt, staying hydrated, and exercising.
With The 1:1 Diet, you’ll have your personalised plan that’s set out by your Consultant. This will include meals, snacks and meal replacements that keep your calorie intake low, but make sure you’re getting all the nutrients you need to stay happy and healthy.
