The experience that you received when dealing with the practice is important to us. This might be a face to face appointment with your doctor or another health care professional, a telephone call or another type of practice interaction at either Nantgarw Road Medical Centre or Senghenydd Health Centre

With an increase in virus circulation we strongly suggest patients do not enter our Surgeries more than 5 minutes before their appointment time.

For patients with respiratory / viral symptoms we encourage you to wear a mask (in line with local hospitals)

WE DO NOT OFFER A WALK IN SURGERY , NOR DO WE DEAL WITH 'MINOR INJURIES (PLEASE ATTEND YYF hospital Ystrad Mynach)

Christmas pharmacy EMERGENCY opening over CHRISTMAS BANK HOLIDAYS

Please note we are only closed on bank holidays / weekends over Christmas ( 25,26th December and 1st Jan 2026 Bank holidays). All other days will be normal operating hours.

If your medication will run out between 25th December and 2nd January - Please order by 19th December 25 to ensure we can process your request in time for christmas.

Good Morning
We along with Public Health Wales are encouraging all eligible groups, particularly 2-3 year olds and those with long term health conditions, such as diabetes and asthma, to get their free flu
vaccination as soon as possible following evidence that flu is circulating earlier than usual in Wales.

The latest data shows that influenza is circulating in the community and that the flu season has started earlier than usual.

Global and UK surveillance data indicate that influenza is circulating earlier than usual in the Northern Hemisphere. It is possible this will result in higher levels of flu in circulation this winter
