Thank you The Parish Trust for allowing Sad-Dog to raise awareness of mental health with your youth volunteers.

We were inspired by the commitment and professionalism of these young volunteers, who chose to spend their half-term learning more about mental health.

It was a pleasure delivering the Mental Health First Assist Call Centre Training at ATEB Housing Association

The session received really positive feedback from all 16 participants, with many highlighting how practical and relevant the content was to their day-to-day roles — especially around managing difficult conversations and offering support in challenging situations.

It was a genuinely engaged group, with thoughtful contributions throughout. Most importantly, the training helped build confidence and provided tools people can take straight back into their work — exactly what we aim for.

Thank you ATEB for choosing Sad-Dog. We’d love to work together again. 💙

With it being Men’s Mental Health Month, it’s amazing to see so many people growing a Movember in support. We’d love your support too.

If you own a business, run a sports club, or manage a community space and would be happy to display one of our posters/ stickers to help raise awareness, please get in touch and I’ll send a copy over.

And if you know of any prime locations for a banner, we’d really appreciate your suggestions. 🫶

“Every workplace needs a plan for mental health, including su***de prevention.”

🧠 Did you know there’s now a UK-wide standard for workplaces to help prevent su***de and support mental wellbeing?

The British Standards Institution’s BS 30480 provides a framework for organisations to:
* Identify and manage su***de risk at work
* Strengthen policy and culture around awareness
* Have confident, compassionate conversations with staff and families

At Sad Dog, we help teams put these principles into practice. If you’re ready to build a workplace where everyone feels safe to talk, we’re here.

Every 40 seconds, someone takes their own life.
That adds up to around 700,000 people every year, each one a person with hopes, connections, and untold stories.

It’s a stark reminder of how deeply mental health struggles affect people everywhere, and how vital compassion, awareness, and access to support are.

That adds up to around 700,000 people every year — each one a person with hopes, connections, and untold stories.

It’s a stark reminder of how deeply mental health struggles affect people everywhere, and how vital compassion, awareness, and access to support are.

It’s a sobering reminder of how widespread mental health struggles are, and how important connection, compassion, and access to help can be.

How can you be this close and not know?

Rugby brings us together like few things can. We train side by side, celebrate the wins, carry each other through the losses, and leave everything on the pitch. We’re teammates and family.

But mental health doesn’t always show up like a bruised shoulder or a torn hamstring. It’s quiet. It hides behind a smile, a laugh in the locker room, a strong tackle. And sometimes, the people we think are okay are the ones who are struggling the most.

So we ask again:
How can you be this close and not know?

🧠 Mental health is everyone’s business.
Check in with your teammates, not just about the game, but about life. Listen without judgment. Make it known that it’s okay to talk. It could save a life.

Because being part of a team means more than just playing together. It means looking out for one another, on and off the field.

💬 “You good?” can go a long way.
💪 “I’ve got you” can mean everything.
❤️ “Let’s talk” can change a life.

If you’re a community sports club, we can offer free training to help you spot the signs early.
