After 7 years of trying, sciatica, a knee replacement and Covid, at last Geraint is officially an IRONMAN!
It’s been an emotional session here today, having been on this journey together.
Well done Geraint on completing Ironman Wales: 16+ hours of gruelling swimming, riding and running, driving wind and rain and in a rough sea. You deserve every gram of metal that went into making that medal. Congratulations my friend it’s a pleasure to keep you at your best. Here comes the Lake Windermere swim (only 11 or so miles!!) 😀

Is your vitamin D high enough to protect you this winter?
So, most people know about how vital Vitamin D is for their immune health now thanks to the news over last year identifying that more severe Covid seemed to be related to low vitamin D levels. I notice that Gps are now including vitamin D on their blood screening, which is great.
We've been telling our patients about the importance of taking a vitamin D supplement from October to March in the UK for the last 5 years to help them to maintain optimum immunity through the fold and flu season (now the "Cold, flu and Covid season"!)
Make sure you get yours! the sun is not strong enough over these months in the UK so you will do well to supplement.
The NHS recommends 400iu / day for most people. If unsure whether you should take it then check with your Gp, but for most people it's totally safe and something your body normally makes itself.

Here are Dan and Debs from Prec Chiro along with Sam the fitness manager for Everlast in Newport. A huge shout out as well to our newest team member Victoria for being an absolute star and top team player helping everyone know what was going on on the night!
It's so important to help people understand the options that a re truly available when they have been finding pain affecting their lives.
