We're all looking to be happier, healthier versions of ourselves. Here are a few ways to produce more happiness chemicals 💙 There are four chemicals that make up our happiness. So what exactly are they?
💙Dopamine: The feel-good hormone. Dopamine is involved in movement, memory, motivation, mood, learning, attention, sleep and lactation. Dopamine gives you pleasure and motivates you to continue something.
💙Serotonin: Serotonin is mostly found in your digestive system, blood platelets and your central nervous system. Serotonin is made from tryptophan, an essential amino acid to stabilize your mood and promote healthy digestion.
💙Oxytocin: The love-hormone. Oxytocin contributes to the female reproductive system. It also plays a role in social functions. It affects group memory formation, social recognition, bonding behavior and other social functions. Oxytocin is responsible for relaxation, trust, and psychological stability.
💙Endorphin: Endorphins are chemicals your nervous system produces when it feels pain or stress. These hormones relieve pain and promote feelings of pleasure. There are over 20 different types of endorphins, each promoting a feeling of a “high.”
