Today, Lois and our wonderful residents spent the day decorating our beautiful home — and it looks absolutely stunning! 🎃🌻

A huge thank you to all our residents who continue to take part in decorating, arts, and crafts activities. 🎨💛 Your creativity and enthusiasm fill Cherry Tree with the warm, cosy spirit of autumn. 🍂🧡

These lovely touches help everyone — especially those who don’t often leave Cherry Tree — to enjoy the beauty and colours of the season right here at home. 🌾🏡

As well big thank you to our local school , children visiting every week bring so much joy to our residents 🩷

🎃🍂 Festive Fun at Cherry Tree! 🍂🎃

Today at Cherry Tree, we’ve started decorating our home for Halloween, Harvest Festival, and Diwali — bringing all the beautiful colours of autumn to life! 🍁✨

A huge thank you to our amazing Lifestyle Team and our lovely residents for helping create such a warm and joyful atmosphere. The decorations look absolutely fantastic! 🧡

We’re sharing a few sneak peeks from today’s activities and the beautiful décor around Cherry Tree — it’s truly feeling festive! 🌟

We also had a lovely visit from Alex, who spent time with our residents enjoying some memory and quiz games. 🧠💬

These activities aren’t just fun — they’re also incredibly valuable! 💖 Memory games help keep the mind active, encourage social connection, and spark wonderful conversations and memories from the past. They’re a fantastic way to promote wellbeing and engagement for everyone involved. 🌼

🌸 Community Ladies Club Gathering 🌸

This week’s Community Ladies Club meeting was a great success! 💫 We were delighted to welcome a few new guests from our community — it’s always wonderful to see new faces and share laughter, stories, and support. 💕

Being part of a community and taking time to socialise is so important — it helps build friendships, boosts wellbeing, and reminds us that we’re never alone. 🤝✨

☕ Next month, we’re excited to be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising funds for a truly meaningful cause. It’s a perfect chance to enjoy coffee, cake, and good company while supporting those affected by cancer. 💚🎂

We can’t wait to see you all there! 🙌

🍂 Our Lovely Residents and Lois Getting Ready for the Harvest Celebration! 🌾

We’re all busy preparing for our annual Harvest Celebration, a wonderful time to give thanks for the season’s abundance. Traditionally, Harvest Festival is about celebrating the fruits of the earth and showing gratitude for all that nature provides — from golden fields and fresh produce to the sense of community it brings.

Our residents have been helping decorate with autumn leaves, pumpkins, and handmade crafts — it’s such a joyful way to welcome the new season together! 🍁✨

Gentlemen’s Club Afternoon 🍰☕

Today our residents and Martin our maintenance enjoyed our monthly Gentlemen’s Club gathering.
Over tea and cake, the conversation flowed — from memories of the war years to life in the coal mines and everything in between.

It was wonderful to see everyone sharing stories, laughter, and companionship. They all had such a lovely time together. 💬✨

We hope that next month more gentlemen from the local community will join us — the more voices, the richer the stories!

🎶✨ Today at Cherry Tree Care Home we had the pleasure of a visit from the amazing Amanda 🎤💖. Residents, visitors, and family members all had a blast enjoying her beautiful singing 🎵💃🕺.

What an incredible voice – and the best news is… she’ll be back soon! 🌟🙌💜

🌸 Yesterday at Cherry Tree Care Home we said goodbye to our lovely Rebecca on her last day at work 💐. We want to say a big THANK YOU for all your hard work, dedication, and kindness 💖. Care Assistants like Rebecca are the heart of what we do – they work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, making sure our residents are safe, happy, and cared for 🫶👩‍⚕️. We wish you all the very best in your new job – you’ll be amazing! 🌟✨

💜 Last night, we also celebrated September Appreciation Day 🎉. This month’s star is Carolyn Jayne 🌟! She was nominated by her team for always being ready to help, working the twilight shift with a smile on her face 😊💪. Carolyn, your positivity and commitment shine through every day /night 😊– thank you for all you do! 💐👏

🍕 Of course, no celebration would be complete without pizza – and the team enjoyed every bite together! 🥳💜
