So on Tuesday these two lovely ladies are traveling to Ireland to compete in the ITF European Taekwon-Do Championships as part of Team UK.
It's been an absolute pleasure and honour to have helped you with your nutrition and play a part in your training. It's also been very inspiring to see the work you've put in and commitment you've given to preparing yourselves for the event.
You will both be amazing in Ireland and irrespective of the results remember that it's never just about the competition but it's also about the journey you took to get there.
You should both feel massively proud of yourselves.

Eating well isn't about worrying because you ate fast food last night, it's about eating consistently over a long period. If you eat well from day to day and get the Macro and micro nutrients that you need over a sustained period, that occasional meal you ate that tasted fantastic but was heavy on fat and sugar won't really matter all that much.

Food is there to be enjoyed, it should never make you feel guilty or be stressful to you. If you've eaten well all week and at the weekend you find yourself outside your favourite fast food place drooling at the mouth, go in and smash that burger or 6 chicken nuggets. If you deny your self what you want too often then you will find it harder to stay consistent with your nutrition.

Need a little bit more pep, then incorporate some of these foods into your diet.

If you don't like the food on their own, try and find a way to mix them with something else to make they more enjoyable. Just be mindful of what you mix them with as its not a green light to deep fry them and put them in a burger. 😁

Can't tell you how many times we've had a drink break in class and I've been told "Sir I didn't bring a drink". When you pack your bag for training a bottle of water should be the first thing you put in there. Staying hydrated is one of the fundimental rules of training.

Drinking water steadily throughout the day to keep yourself hydrated benefits your body massively. If you don't manage to drink steadily during the day at least try and drink water at specific points during the day.
